Cultural Survey Guide
The Cultural Survey helps you discover your personal cultural preferences across Hofstede's six dimensions. Your results create a Cultural Profile you can use to understand how you naturally approach work, communication, and collaboration.
How It Works
- Navigate to Cultural Survey from the Tools Dashboard
- Answer a series of questions about your workplace preferences
- Each question presents two contrasting approaches — choose the one that feels most natural to you
- There are no right or wrong answers — the survey measures preferences, not abilities
What You'll Learn
After completing the survey, you'll receive scores across six dimensions:
- How you relate to hierarchy and authority (Power Distance)
- Whether you lean toward individual or group orientation (Individualism)
- Your preference for competition vs. cooperation (Masculinity)
- How you handle ambiguity and risk (Uncertainty Avoidance)
- Your orientation toward short-term vs. long-term thinking (Long Term Orientation)
- Your approach to restraint vs. enjoyment in professional settings (Indulgence)
Tips for Taking the Survey
- Answer based on how you actually behave at work, not how you think you should
- Your first instinct is usually the most accurate — don't overthink it
- The survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete
- You can retake the survey at any time to see how your preferences evolve
After the Survey
Once complete, head to your Cultural Profile to see your results visualised and compared to national averages.
